ABOUT DR. MOAYERY
Dr. Massoum Moayery is a board certified Ophthalmologist in private practice in Virginia Beach
since 1986. He received his medical degree from University of Tehran in 1968 and then spent two years in military.
Dr. Moayery finished his Ophthalmology residency in Baltimore, MD in 1976 with one year of fellowship in the Wilmer Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital.
He spent a few years in private practice and academic positions and then three years as a consultant ophthalmologist overseas. He then returned to Baltimore in 1984 and completed a year of fellowship in corneal immunology in the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Moayery is a member of such professional organizations as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been on staff of many local hospitals such as Chesapeake General Hospital.
